You can now place a case on legal hold to preserve relevant employee data and documentation in the anticipation of litigation or an investigation.
To place a case on legal hold navigate to the case and check the box ‘Legal hold.’
Checking ‘Legal hold’ will lock the case so that it becomes read-only and cannot be edited. The status of the case will change to ‘Paused’ which will be reflected in charts and filters. While paused the day(s) count for the duration of the case will stop and will not be counted towards the case resolution time.
Once placed on ‘Legal hold’ the only available action is to uncheck the ‘Legal Hold’ to unpause the case and resume activity. This will return the case to an editable state, resume the duration count and revert the status from ‘paused’ to the prior status.
Any time a legal hold is placed or removed this will be tracked in the activity log of the case.
