Utilize your AllVoices customer success team and resources.
Our best-practice survey templates are entirely customizable, and can act as a good starting point for the most successful survey execution. Our team of experts on hand will work with your needs to help you gather the most relevant data.
Plan and strategize prior to developing questions.
Determine what 2-3 issues you’d like to gain a better understanding on. You can choose to focus your questions on already reported company issues or gather employee insights on new topics. Keep these issues in mind as you customize your pulse survey. Make sure that the goal of the survey you create is to understand as much as you can about these 2-3 issues.
Consider external factors.
More often than not, the type of information you want to collect about your employees differs depending on the year, season, quarterly earnings, current events, etc. Evaluate what’s happening externally and be mindful of this information when building out your survey.
Keep it short and sweet.
Because pulse surveys are often focused on a specific goal or topic, they are typically used as quick check-ins. A best practice pulse survey is no more than 8 questions.
Start anywhere.
Pulse surveys can be used to measure anything! Constant and quick feedback collection benefits HR teams and ensures that employees feel valued and heard. If you’re unsure of where to begin, consider starting with one of the common topics below: recent updates in policy, employee benefits, seasonal schedule adjustments, work from home versus in office, current company culture, town hall or training feedback etc.
Use the pulse survey as a reminder that AllVoices is always available to them.
We recommend that pulse surveys be used in collaboration with more specific feedback collection, as many employees may hold back specific information. Often, when employees face serious challenges or difficulties, a pulse survey may not feel like the right avenue for them to voice their concerns. With AllVoices, your survey feedback is augmented with our always-on employee-listening tool so that employees feel heard 24/7, 365 days a year. So, when you share a pulse survey, send out a reminder that should employees wish to provide more detailed feedback, they can always do so via the AllVoices platform.
