Auto-blocking enables the reporter to block an administrator from viewing their report by entering the administrator’s email address at the time of report submission.
Reporter provides the administrator’s email address they wish to block:
If your company has the auto-blocking feature enabled on the survey flow, reporters will have the option to block an AllVoices’ company administrator at the time of report submission using the administrator’s email address.
Note: The reporter can only block one admin per report. This is to ensure that at least one administrator in your system will have access to the report regardless of who the reporter blocks. To ensure the report is always seen make sure there are at least two admins with Primary and/or Owner level permissions at all times.
If a company leader is involved in the issue, the reporter will be prompted to enter their email address on the ‘Please provide more details’ page of the survey flow:
NOTE: This is an *optional* survey question which the reporter can leave blank. If the issue did involve a company leader, the reporter can enter the company leader’s email address to automatically block them. Our system will then look for an administrator with an exact match to the email address provided by the reporter.
If an exact email match is found:
If an exact email address match is found, the administrator will be auto-blocked from the report, meaning their access will be restricted and no new report notification will be sent to the administrator involved. Once the admin is successfully auto-blocked it will show “Reporter Blocked {Admin Name}” in the ‘Activity’ log of the report.
The blocked admin will also appear on the Blocked Admins list under ‘Manage Access’ for the report.
Additionally, it will show the reporter’s response in the ‘Report Answers’ tab.
If no exact email match is found:
The email must be an exact match to an administrator in AllVoices in order for the auto-block to be successful.
If no exact email match is found for reasons such as: the admin’s email was typed incorrectly by the reporter, the admin has multiple email addresses, or, the company leader is not an admin in AllVoices, no one will be blocked.
However, the reporter’s response will still show in the ‘Report Answers’ tab, so you can see who the reporter intended to block and do so manually if the admin has another email address or it appears the reporter accidentally entered with a typo.
